震災5年 在日米軍からのメッセージ
3月11日であの東日本大震災から5年が過ぎました。
5年と言えば、早いと言えば早いし、いろんな事があったと言えばやはりいろんな事がありました。
さてニュースでは、“ 在日米軍「日本の勇気忘れない」 ” という話題を取り上げていました。
ここでは、その英文をチェックしてみましょう。

というメッセージが記載されています。

It has been five years since the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011, and the world will long remember the courage, strength, and perseverance of the Japanese people that followed.
2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災から5年が経過しました。世界の人々は、それに関わった日本人の勇気・強さ・忍耐力を長く記憶に留めることでしょう。

米軍は、民間当局・自衛隊そして必要な援助や支援をするために駆けつけた一般市民のそばに立つことができたことを誇りに思います。

3月11日は、被災者の方々、被災者の友人や家族、そして被災地の復興に携わっている方々にとっての追悼の日であります。今日我々は、この厳粛な義務を分かち合い、これからも我々の記憶に留めるものであります。

僕自身もあの日は、電車で都心に向かっていた時に揺れが起き、家に帰るのに苦労しました。

被災して家族を失った人たちや、未だに自分の家に帰れない人のことを思うと、心が痛み言葉が出てきませんが、
「頑張ろう!日本」
「頑張ろう!東北」
ですね。
